Sponsors, Supporters & Affiliates

Although we’re run by students from the University of Cambridge, we are supported by several organisations from Cambridge and beyond. We are incredibly grateful to these bodies, without whom it would not be possible to run our society.

MedTech Foundation

Although now a national organisation with spokes across the UK, the Medtech Foundation first began in Leeds in 2015. Originally known as the Healthcare Technology Co-operative Foundation (HTCf), the original MedTech Foundation is a student-led affiliation of the Surgical MedTech Co-operative, an NIHR-funded research group at the University of Leeds, and its objective is to encourage innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration amongst students and trainees around the UK.

COVID-19 PPE Challenge - NIHR Surgical MedTech Co-operative

The NIHR Surgical MedTech Co-operative brings together healthcare professionals, scientists, engineers, patients and industry to provide technological solutions to unmet clinical needs in colorectal, vascular and hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) surgery.

The MIC provides key logistical support to the MTF as part of its commitment to training the medtech innovators of the future, and many of its clinicians and scientists also individually support the MTF by guiding our curriculum and organising internships for programme participants.
